Our Programs
The Best Daycare
Our mission is to nurture and care for all children. We believe in providing a safe, structured, inclusive setting that supports, encourages and inspires each child. Here at Small World we offer a high- quality early childhood program for infants, toddlers and preschool students. Our daily schedule and routine gives students a feeling of consistency. It promotes creative activities, pretend play, reading and alone play, as well as group play and time.
Infants
3 months-18 months
At Small World Daycare our infant teachers put the safety of our infants first so parents feel comfortable knowing that their little one is receiving the best care. Our infant room is free from outdoor shoes- this allows our infants to crawl freely without having to worry about germs or outdoor shoes being worn in the infant room. Our infants enjoy outdoor activities, story time, circle time and our monthly themes.
Toddlers
18 months-3 years old
At Small World Daycare our dedicated teachers build strong relationships with their students. They allow students to learn at their own pace and nurture them on a daily basis. During the toddler years consistency is key! Teachers allow the students to explore their environment while learning to play with their peers. Teaching the toddlers to be independent is a huge part of the toddler program. Your child will work on social/emotional development, motor skills and will be introduced to literacy, mathematics and science.
Preschool
At Small World Daycare we believe that students learn best through play. We follow the creative curriculum, which means we focus on the whole child. We allow students to work at their own pace as we understand that each child has their own development level. Teachers also allow students to be creative, follow their passions and help boost their students' confidence.
Universal Pre-K
At Small World Daycare we are affiliated with the Yonkers Public School for our Universal Pre-K program. Our teachers and staff focus on effective communication, problem solving, social skills, working independently, and responsive listening. Watching our students prepare for Kindergarten is a great experience.
Before and After Care
Our before care program offers a relaxing environment where students are able to enjoy breakfast and are allowed free play before the start of school.During after care students learn to interact with their peers, enjoy outdoor play and music and movement activities with their friends.
Summer Camp
At Small World Daycare our Summer Camp is filled with many fun and enjoyable activities. We offer weekly outdoor themes, fun activities, water sports, BBQ's, bounce houses and so much more fun for our little campers.
